The details a studio holds about you, and the record you write yourself, are personal information. EqualFrame is where they are kept, and it was built so they are kept properly.
Why this exists
For most of this industry’s history, the information models submit when they apply has gone wherever was convenient. A shared inbox. A spreadsheet on a laptop. A folder passed between people. Nobody meant any harm by it. There just wasn’t a better option.
There is now. EqualFrame holds that information in one secure place, on one principle: your data belongs to you, and so does the say over who sees it.
Who can see your information
A studio that brought you onto the register can see the details it holds. Anyone you send your link to can see the public face of your record. Nobody else: not other studios, not other photographers, not anyone browsing. Nobody can search for you or stumble across your record.
If you want to share your information with someone else, you make that choice. We never make it for you.
Where your data lives
Your records are held on infrastructure in the UK and the EU, in London and Frankfurt. They are encrypted in transit and at rest. They are not sold, not handed to advertisers, and not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
The most sensitive material, the documents collected to verify identity and age, is held separately and under tighter limits. It is used for that purpose alone, and it is never shown to studios or other members. Every time personal data is accessed, that access is logged.
Your rights, and your control
You can ask to see what we hold, correct anything that is wrong, and have your data erased. These are not buried settings. We build to the GDPR standard and treat it as the floor, not the ceiling.
When you give consent, we record it.
Verification and safety
Identity and age verification are handled by a specialist verification provider, and members verify before they work with one another. Images uploaded to the platform are automatically screened for illegal content. We mention these plainly because they matter, not to perform reassurance.

EqualFrame is operated by The Rabbit Hutch Limited.
We won’t claim perfect security, because no one honestly can. What we can say is that EqualFrame was built by people who thought hard about what it means to hold someone else’s personal information, and who keep thinking about it.
